120 Hours Survival Course for Adult

1. Mission Statement

The Jungle Survival Academy, Bhandavgarh aims at imparting most authentic, exciting and extreme experience of jungle craft and survival skills while developing a sense of responsibility towards natural ecosystem and its preservation. Apart from learning to benefit from nature, this course will instill extreme survival confidence and also develop team building and leadership skills in the participants.

2. Conduct

The course is run by highly trained Special Forces instructors along with local jungle specialists. Seven day jungle survival programme will be conducted in three successive phases as under.

(a) Training phase for three days

(b) Confidence building phase for one day

(c) Survival/isolation phase two days

Courses are run in all 4 seasons of the country. You can choose the season and then we will give you the date in that season after your Registration Fee is paid and your Enrolment is Confirmed.

This course is an ideal start as it wets your appetite and prepares you for our longer survival camps.

  • All our courses are conducted in the Jungles of Bandhavgarh in MP.
  • On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate.
  • Each batch is limited to 10 persons.

Courses are run in all 4 seasons of the country. You can choose the season and then we will give you the date in that season after your Registration Fee is paid and your Enrolment is Confirmed.

  • SUMMER SURVIVAL: Apr – Jun
  • MONSOON SURVIVAL: Jul – Sep
  • AUTUMN SURVIVAL: Oct – Dec

Documentation followed by freshening up, breakfast and initial briefing

10:00AM to 10:45AM

Location:  JSA Base Camp
Intro to Bandhavgarh national park

10:45AM to 11:30AM

Location: JSA Base Camp

  • Detailed briefing of the programme
  • Jungle safety and hygiene
  • Issue of survival equipment
  • Pack up for the next location

12:00PM to 03:00PM

  • Move through the jungle to Point Maidan, (3 km)
  • Make improvised Safety tool
  • Learn movement in jungle, read animal signs, observe nature and learn from it
  • Learn foraging for food and water in jungle and how to make fire

03:00PM to 04:30PM

  • Move through jungle to High Machaan
  • Enroute forage food from jungle
  • Learn about navigation by day

05:00PM to 06:30PM

Location: High Harbour
Set up camp, light fire and set up security

06:30PM to 07:30PM

Cook dinner in the jungle and learn about navigation at night by using stars

08:00PM to 09:00PM

Fires out for a good night’s sleep

  • Learn Unarmed Combat
  • Learn First Aid and Field Nursing Skills
  • Navigate in jungle from West to East
  • Foraging for food and water
  • Cook improvised Jungle meal and boil water for the day
  • Tigers den and water resource

03:00PM to 05:00PM

Location: High Maachan
Make improvised night shelter from natural resources

05:00PM to 06:30PM

Set up camp, light fire and set up security

06:30PM to 08:00PM

  • Cook jungle dinner and boil water
  • Learn Night navigation by Stars

08:00PM to 09:00PM

Jungle dinner and jungle tales to keep you entertained

09:00PM

Fires out for a good night’s sleep

Jungle hygiene. light fire and heat up water and make breakfast

Location: Slithering Point

Event: 

  • Learn Rope knots and skills
  • Practice Slithering and rappelling
  • Learn and practice improvised jungle traps

03:00PM to 06:30PM

Location: Left Bank

Set up a secure camp

06:30PM to 09:30PM

  • Gather fire wood and set up a safe bonfire
  • Cook jungle dinner
  • Camp fire jungle tales

09:30PM

Jungle sleep under watch 

         ( D +3 Day )

Jungle hygiene. light fire and heat up water and make breakfast

08:30AM to 03:30PM

  • Unarmed Combat lesson two
  • Confidence building exercise with very restricted food and water under supervision of instructors

03:30PM to 06:30PM

Secure camp in High Machan

06:30PM to 09:30PM

  • Gather fire wood and set up a safe bonfire
  • Cook jungle dinner
  • Camp fire jungle tales

Jungle sleep under watch

  • Unarmed Combat lesson two
  • Test exercise with no food and very limited water under remote supervision

03:30PM to 06:00PM

Secure camp in High Machan

Course Will Include:

  • Pick and drop from Umaria/Katni Railway Station
  • All food and meals during the course
  • Training equipment other than personal clothing and shoes (which travellers must bring along),
    the training equipment includes things like Backpack, Dragger, Axe, Whistle, Rain Poncho, Compass, Fire Trench, Head / Hand Torch Light, Multifunctional Compass Whistle, Backpacker Tent, Mattress, Sleeping bag, etc, which are provided by us for use for the duration of the course
